FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What do you do for mental health clients?+

Esther Aruna is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner working with adolescents and adults. She provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, grief, and acute stress. A partnership between provider and client is essential — she uses medication when appropriate and connects clients to quality therapists to help them meet their wellness goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions?+

A safe space to be heard and respected, and a clear understanding of their treatment plan and where they are on their journey. Life can be overwhelming and it takes courage to seek help. This is a no-judgment zone dedicated to your healing and mental wellness.

What is your approach to therapy?+

We focus on the psychological, social, and cultural needs of each patient as we work collaboratively on a treatment plan. Empathetic, kind, culturally sensitive care with medication management when indicated. A holistic model that reconnects mind, body, and soul for a diverse, inclusive population.

What treatment methods and tools do you use?+

Treatment begins with an intake interview to gather information and review your symptoms and history. Medications are usually not started at intake. We determine a diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria, which can be updated as more is revealed. Evidence-based guidelines guide treatment, and medication evaluation and management appointments follow.

Do you have a cash-pay option if I don't have insurance?+

Yes. We offer a concierge model of care for those without insurance. We accept credit card and cash. Payment is due in full one day before your visit. You can learn more about payment options during your free consultation.

How do I know if Healing Realm is right for me?+

We offer a free one-time 10-minute video or phone consultation where you can ask any questions about our practice. Afterward, you and your provider will decide together whether it's a good fit.
